Westbound Rockhill Drive to U.S. 1 North Ramp Closed for Three Months

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that the turn lane to the ramp from westbound Rockhill Drive to northbound U.S. 1 was closed for approximately three months on Monday, September 9, under a $116 million project to reconstruct, widen, and improve a three-mile section of U.S. 1 in Bucks County.

Motorists will detour south on Old Lincoln Highway, east on Street Road (Route 132) to U.S. 1 North.

Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling near the work area because backups and delays may occur.

The work is part of PennDOT’s U.S. 1/RC2 contract that will reconstruct and widen U.S. 1 from south of the Rockhill Drive Interchange to north of the Penndel/Business U.S. 1 Interchange. This project will also improve the U.S. 1 interchanges at Neshaminy, Penndel/Business U.S. 1, and Rockhill Drive. Additionally, the bridges over Rockhill Drive, the Neshaminy Creek, and Business U.S. 1/CSX/SEPTA will be replaced.
